OVERVIEW:

Summer interns will complete a 10-week internship located full-time on site in Middletown, CT.  Liberty Bank is proud to host a dynamic and diverse internship program designed to cultivate the next generation of banking and finance professionals. Through this immersive internship, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals, contribute to real world projects and develop essential skills that will prepare them for successful careers in the financial services industry and beyond!

 

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

Assist managing Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) projects for the bank which include new locations, new/upgrades to systems, process updates to comply with new regulatory requirements, process improvements, large strategic initiatives, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Shadow Project Managers during project management activities and meetings
  • Receive mentoring on project management and EPMO processes, tools (e.g. OneNote, Copilot, Azure Boards, OnePlan), and procedures from EPMO Leader and Project Managers
  • Assist with project management activities (e.g., meeting facilitation, meeting summaries, scope development, project closure reports, project change controls, project issue/risk/action item tracking, project schedules)
  • Help with EPMO process improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.  Preferred candidates to be majoring in Project Management or Business Administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Proven critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • General Office Equipment
  • Keyboard Dexterity
  • Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.  
  • Ability to travel.
