You’ll lead a team where curiosity is encouraged, experimentation is celebrated, and collaboration across Product, Data, and Engineering is the norm.</p> <h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h2>The role</h2> <p>As<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><strong>VP of Engineering</strong>, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our global engineering team and helping scale our platform to support our next phase of growth — which includes developing new products, and partner types. You’ll be building on top of a modern, API‑driven platform that already underpins multiple live products and powers partnerships with global names.&nbsp;</p> <p>You’ll be responsible for building an engineering culture that’s fast, reliable, and relentlessly focused on impact - setting the bar for engineering excellence, guiding architectural decisions, and coaching a strong management layer and senior IC's, as we continue to redefine what a high‑growth, embedded‑finance organisation can achieve.&nbsp;</p> <p>Partnering closely with Product, Data Science, Design and Risk Teams, you will lead in evolving the technical architecture of our platform, scale our AI-native underwriting systems, and ensure the team delivers robust, maintainable distributed systems at speed. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape our technology strategy, lead high-stakes delivery, and grow a world-class team across the UK and India.</p> <h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h2>The interview process</h2> <ol> <li>Screening call with Chess (Internal Recruiter)</li> <li>Video interview with Nima (CPTO &amp; Hiring Manager)</li> <li>Leadership &amp; technical deep dive with members of the Engineering Leadership Team</li> <li>Final stage with Nima &amp; the Liberis Leadership Team</li> </ol> <h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h2>What We Think You'll Need:</h2> <ul> <li>Proven success leading engineering orgs of 50+ in high-growth B2B or fintech environments</li> <li>Experience scalling modern, API-first platforms in complex domains (finance, lending, payments, etc.)</li> <li>You have strong people leadership skills, with a history of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing Managers, Staff / Lead Engineers, and their teams.</li> <li>You have a deep understanding of building distributed systems, data pipelines, and ML / AI-infused platforms</li> <li>You bring strong product and business instinct — you think in terms of outcomes, not tickets</li> <li>You’re a natural collaborator — equally comfortable working with with execs, engineers, and partners</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Bonus points if:</h3> <ul> <li>You have experience with embedded finance, open banking or payments infrastructure</li> <li>You have had exposure to underwriting, credit risk, or machine learning systems</li> <li>You have experience scaling teams in multiple geographies, especially India</li> </ul> <h2>&nbsp;</h2> <h2>Next steps</h2> <p>If this opportunity feels like the right fit for your next career move, we'd love to hear from you!
