The goal is to digitize our Go-to-Market capabilities, transform our supply chain and technology platform by building and implementing industry leading software solutions with advanced analytics. We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager that can be a key resource in accelerating technology to meet the needs of our business and will be part of the global Brand & Marketing Transformation technology organization.
As a Technical Project manager, you will be responsible for the management of multiple projects across portfolio. Technical Project manager is also expected to possess a broad domain and technology aptitude, which s/he can apply to critically evaluate the wide variety of software solutions available to solve business challenges.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of the Retail IT Self-Service product. You are expected to engage regularly with business customers to determine needs, requests, and requirements for the function of the IT Self-Service product
This role will provide project planning and project implementation services for business enablement solutions, while adhering to LS&Co PMO processes, policies, and guidelines. Key responsibilities also include securing critical resources, managing timelines, milestones and deliverables. The ideal candidate will be pragmatic and confident, with strong presentation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a high paced environment.
About the Job
Manage project teams, setting goals, objectives, and priorities then conducting frequent team update sessions to review status and resolve issues
Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project team, business project lead, vendors and other key clients
Acts as a liaison between functional and technical teams to critically evaluate needs and identify potential solutions and be the single point of contact for all communication
Manages vendor relationships, including representing LS&Co., negotiating and working closely to prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve all issues
Provides assessment of IT project management needs (as requested), delivering results to IT stakeholders
Recommends and implements risk mitigation strategies
Planning and Management of Scope, Schedule, Budget, Resources
Facilitates definition of the project scope and detailed project plans
Independently drives and monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risks in the project schedule
Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics, and develops / implements changes as needed to ensure the project remains within scope, on schedule, and under budget
Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement within Retail and E-commerce Business Operations, aligning technology and self-service solutions to drive down costs and improve efficiencies.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Utilize data analysis tools to monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for further optimization.
Identify and implement automation and digitization opportunities to streamline store processes and enhance data integrity.
Conduct comprehensive analysis to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gaps, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Utilize process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, to identify and implement process optimization initiatives.
Develop and document standardized procedures, work instructions, and process maps to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
Identify root causes of process inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions to drive continuous improvement.
Understand procurement lifecycle and SAP/Finance processes to ensure effective management of procurement activities as part of self-service capabilities.
Analyze data points and propose solutions for self-service IT processes.
Understand SDLC lifecycle and procurement lifecycle to manage projects and deployments effectively.
Stay on the forefront of retail and e-commerce technologies and business processes to support Retail self-service initiatives.
Develop and implement self-service solutions for IT processes, such as self-service password resets and hardware procurement.
Research and propose AI solutions for retail IT support to enhance self-service capabilities.
Manage self-service fulfillment processes for IT hardware and software, ensuring efficient and timely delivery
Communication and Decision Making
Conducts project meetings (kickoffs, status, sponsor etc.). Establishes/runs project steering committee meetings
Effectively manages project team, including communicates individual roles and project expectations to ensure the project team has the tools and training required to perform effectively
Evaluates and proactively communicates project updates, status, issues and risks to all project stakeholders
Drives timely communication across IT functions and ensures timely business-based decision making by engaging the necessary sponsors / stakeholders
Obtains IT and business approvals for all checkpoints
Documents bi-weekly status reports, meeting minutes, and conducts regularly scheduled budget reviews
Adjusts project plans and tasks to ensure integration based on cross-project, resource, and schedule dependencies
As needed, ensures visibility and supports integration for projects
Coordinates activities across functions within IT as appropriate (e.g., infrastructure, release management / QA, etc.…)
Issue, Change and Risk Management
Exercises independent judgment to manage and drive project issue process, including resolution
Manages project level risks, weighing and assessing probability, impact, documenting mitigation and contingency strategies
Meet with business and cross-functional teams to derive solutions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements, leading meetings and deriving alignments across business organizations and engineering.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures for Retail Operations and Technology.
About You
Total 5+ years of experience. Minimum 3+ years of enterprise IT project / program management experience
2+. years in Retail, CPG with major size agile implementation experience in the retail / supply chain
Business facing communication is critical for this role.
Digital transformation experience is a plus
Experience with Agile methodologies is a must
Excellent delivery track record
Excellent communication skills
Experience with Retail solutions is a great plus
Experience leading global delivery teams is strongly preferred
Agile certifications strongly preferred
Ability to self-motivate, adapt, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment & challenging situations
