$4,000 quarterly commission target - uncapped commission potential

The Ophthalmic Account Representative (AR) is essential to driving sales growth within our existing customer base. This role blends strategic thinking with a strong customer-centric mindset. ARs identify and pursue new business opportunities among current customers by leveraging data analysis, building strong relationships, and demonstrating effective closing skills.

The Account Representative actively develops and manages a healthy sales pipeline, moves opportunities through each stage of the sales cycle, and onboards new customers to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Throughout the sales cycle, the Account Representative consistently works to build stronger customer relationships and loyalty. The Account Representative is responsible for meeting their quarterly sales goals. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule and has uncapped earning potential. On Target earnings are $70,656 per year including a $4,000 quarterly (uncapped) commission, with the first quarter guaranteed.

Who We're Looking For: 

Essential Functions:

  • The primary responsibility of an Account Representative is to identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities through outbound calls for successful portfolio expansion of current customers within the assigned territory. 
  • At times, the AR will need to prospect, develop, and close sales for new or former customers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to exceed revenue goals.
  • Conduct daily outbound selling efforts to speak with customers and determine their needs.
  • Continuously grow a qualified sales funnel and opportunity pipeline to support quarterly revenue expectations.
  • Timely and accurately input sales opportunities and customer interactions within CRM in accordance with sales process protocols, including end-of-month requirements.
  • Document conversations, key influencers, and buyer insights within CRM.
  • Successfully onboard new customers, including completing required workbooks and ensuring a seamless transition to Leiters Health.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of the 503B market, including competitors, GPO contracts, pricing structures, and internal contracting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand product availability, potential issues, and provide timely communication to customers.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in situations where policies or processes may not provide explicit guidance.
  • Initiate and track customer commitment compliance to ensure consistent product supply and predictable revenue.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key contacts to expand product portfolio and identify future sales opportunities.
  • Consistently complete proactive outreach and follow-up with customers to educate, develop relationships, explore potential pain points for improvement, and ensure needs are met.
  • Manage customer complaints, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Utilize internal SOPs, processes, forms, and quality control measures as required.
  • Compile data and prepare reports, spreadsheets, and related documentation as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Necessary Skills:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within the hospital or medical/pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Initiative-taker with the ability to work independently and maintain an organized workflow.
  • Demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding sales growth targets.
  • Thrives in a positive, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong business acumen.
  • Proficient and accurate data entry skills in a high-volume environment; capable of handling pricing calculations.
  • Resilient, positive attitude with adaptability in a rapidly growing business. 
  • Ability to learn new computer systems and technology as needed is required.
  • Knowledge of 503B regulatory requirements, cGMP, and USP guidelines (preferred but not required).
  • Proficient written, verbal, and oral English communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics, and Excel.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
