The Opportunity
Are you ready to shape the future of global security? The Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking a highly capable Socio-Cultural Analyst (CI/HUMINT Language Analyst - Russian) - Senior, to support the USCYBERCOM J2 mission, to serve as a native-level language specialist, providing precise reading, writing, and speaking abilities, as well as in-depth cultural insight on geopolitical, economic, and social issues relevant to mission requirements. The incumbent will conduct research, support HUMINT intelligence collection and analysis, and perform accurate translations of transcripts, video, and audio sources between the target language and English, fully preserving the original meaning and intent. This role also involves devising and recommending new methods for target language research, exploitation, and the optimal presentation and dissemination of intelligence findings. The Analyst is expected to contribute to the development of Operating Instructions (OIs) for command-wide programs and initiatives as assigned by the Government.

What you'll be doing:
Perform as a native-level language specialist, offering precise reading, writing, and speaking skills in the target language and providing deep cultural understanding relevant to geopolitical, economic, and social matters.
Conduct research and support HUMINT intelligence collection and analysis efforts to inform operational decision-makers.
Accurately translate transcripts, audio, and video sources from the target language to English and vice versa, ensuring the original intent and nuanced meaning are maintained.
Develop, recommend, and implement innovative methods for target language research and the exploitation of relevant information, optimizing the methods for presenting and disseminating intelligence to stakeholders.
Advise on best practices and techniques for socio-cultural analysis and cross-cultural communications to support intelligence collection and reporting.
Produce Operating Instructions (OIs) for command-wide programs and initiatives as directed by the Government.
Collaborate with analysts, collectors, and mission partners to ensure that socio-cultural and linguistic insights are integrated into analytic products and operational planning.
While no special language certification is required, demonstrate expert-level knowledge of network defense principles and the complexities of establishing and supporting network infrastructure for global connectivity, including both hardware and software considerations.
Needed Experience, Skills, and Education:
Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
The Language Enabled Analyst at a minimum will be DLI trained 4/4 proficient (Russian) or possess an industry equivalent.
Native language level speaker comprehension (Russian), Level 4.
Clearance Needed:

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
Deep familiarity with USCYBERCOM organizational structure and mission.
Prior experience supporting Joint operations across multiple warfighting domains.
Native cultural experience and expertise highly desired.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
