
The Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, HI, supporting the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Special Security Office at Headquarters PACAF, Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding some of the Air Force’s most sensitive operations across the Pacific theater. In this position, you will provide essential administrative and operational security support to the PACAF A2S and PACAF SSO, ensuring the integrity and protection of all PACAF Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) on JBPHH. Your work will directly contribute to the readiness and security posture of over 1,000 SCI‑indoctrinated personnel at Hickam AFB. You’ll manage TS/SCI visit requests, verify clearances, and maintain accountability for SCI access badges, all while serving as the primary customer‑facing representative for the PACAF SSO. Your expertise in personnel, physical, and information security will help guide decisions, streamline processes, and uphold strict DoD and Air Force security standards. Act as the first point of contact for SCI indoctrination requests, SCIF access badge issuance, wearable/medical device approvals, and SCI network account requests.
Provide comprehensive SCIF access control support for all PACAF SCIFs across JBPHH.
Enforce access control requirements, manage personnel in‑processing, deliver security education, maintain internal records, and monitor DISS for visiting personnel.
Coordinate escort support, conduct routine security audits and inspections, and assist with the maintenance and testing of alarms, cameras, and access control systems.
Serve as the lead for access reciprocity coordination with INDOPACOM.
Active TS/SCI clearance required on day one.
8+ years of experience in DoD security operations with strong familiarity with military environments.
Bachelor’s degree (additional experience may substitute for degree).
Proven experience executing a wide range of security responsibilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with access control systems.
