About this role

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Junior Multiskilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This entry-level role works under the guidance of senior maintenance staff and provides hands-on experience across multiple skilled trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, safety-conscious, and committed to developing technical skills while contributing to daily facility operations.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to facility maintenance trouble calls and service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
  • Perform assigned routine and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Support repairs involving lighting, doors, locks, fixtures, and minor carpentry
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with company policies and applicable codes and regulations
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours in the work order system
  • Communicate professionally with building occupants regarding maintenance activities and work status
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
  • Participate in on-the-job training and skill development across multiple maintenance disciplines

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related technical role
  • Basic knowledge or hands-on experience in one or more maintenance trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance)
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependable attendance
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school or vocational training in a maintenance-related field
  • Experience supporting preventative maintenance programs
  • Familiarity with work order or maintenance tracking systems (CMMS)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Interest in pursuing technical certifications or trade licenses
