Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Change Administrator to join the Audio Video Division in Warsaw, IN. The Engineering Change Administrator (ECA) manages the full Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, including reviewing and routing ECOs, maintaining product master data, and ensuring accurate effectivity dates. This role requires a seasoned SAP professional with strong manufacturing experience (fabrication and assembly) and the ability to operate with significant autonomy. The ECA collaborates closely with Engineering, Chemists, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Buyer/Planners, and Finance. 

 

What Will You Do?

  • Generate all SAP records to support new product launches including but not limited to material masters, BOM’s, routings, incoming inspection requirements, and document management. 
  • Manage the full ECO (Engineering Change Order) process, including review, routing, documentation, and revision control.  
  • Maintain and update master data and effectivity dates within SAP/ERP.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely coordination across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, and technical teams.  
  • Lead and support crossfunctional initiatives related to product changes, similar to project management responsibilities.  
  • Track ECO performance metrics and identify opportunities to streamline processes.  
  • Participate in SAP/ERP testing and recommend improvements to reporting tools and system functionality.  
  • Promote safety, compliance, confidentiality, and adherence to company values. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associates or technical degree (no specific field of study required) with a minimum of three (3) years of document control and/or data management experience in a manufacturing environment; or a relevant combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience with ERP systems  

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong SAP expertise, specifically within manufacturing (fabrication and assembly).  
  • Solid understanding of engineering documentation, and manufacturing structures, and processes.  
  • High attention to detail and personal integrity, critical for a role with significant autonomy.  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong crossfunctional relationships.  
  • Projectmanagementrelated experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.  
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problemsolving abilities.  
  • Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with care.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with SAP  
  • APICS certified
