P2S has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for new buildings and renovations within the higher education market. Working on college campuses offers an opportunity to design a variety of buildings, including Laboratories, Student Centers, Administration Buildings, Vocational Labs, Natatoriums, athletic facilities, and more. 

As a mid-level engineer, you will lead an electrical design team that performs field verification, design team coordination, construction document preparation, permitting, and construction administration. Electrical design includes medium voltage, power distribution, lighting design, lighting controls, and fire alarms.

Key Responsibilities

⦁    Lead an electrical design team through all phases of project delivery: field verification, design coordination, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
⦁    Design electrical systems including: Medium voltage distribution, Power distribution, Lighting design and controls, and Fire alarm systems.
⦁    Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and sustainability goals.
⦁    Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and Division of State Architecture (DSA) requirements.
⦁    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.


Position Requirements

⦁    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
⦁    Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
⦁    Experience with Division of State Architecture (DSA) and municipal projects is preferred.
⦁    Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software preferred. 
⦁    Strong communication and project management skills.
