Job Summary
The BIM Manager is responsible for supporting and enhancing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows within the engineering department. They provide technical expertise, project support, and process improvements using Revit, AutoCAD and other BIM tools. The BIM Specialist plays a key role in project collaboration, software optimization, and content creation, ensuring efficient and standardized BIM execution across projects.   

Responsibilities

  • Set up Revit models and templates for new projects, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Supports collaboration on Autodesk Construction Cloud across design teams
  • Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for BIM-related issues and Revit users.
  • Leads the creation and management of Revit content, including families and templates for engineering projects.
  • Manages the implementation and support of Revit add-ins (Naviate, DiRoots)
  • Provides supplemental modeling support and design assistance for plumbing systems
  • Ensures that models adhere to project specifications, BIM execution plans, and company standards.
  • Manages AutoCAD customization efforts to improve efficiency and compatibility with Revit workflows
  • Leads the development and maintenance of BIM company standards.
  • Leads the Revit/BIM training sessions for the Engineering dept. 

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including project setup, family creation and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud for project collaboration and document management. 
  • Experience with Families content creation 
  • Familiarity with Revit add-ins
  • Understanding of mechanical system design and coordination within BIM models.
  • Experienced user in Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks Manage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot Revit and BIM-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support engineers, designers and project teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, project driven environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledgeable with migrating data across the following formats: DWG, RVT, NWC, NWD, NWF, MAJ, IFC

Salary: $134,000-$150,000, depending on experience
