About this role

LeClaire Manufacturing is looking for an experienced electrician to support our Aluminum Foundry production environment. Position Overview:

The Electrician – Level II will be responsible for conducting electrical installations, maintenance, and complex repairs. This role requires a skilled individual with a thorough understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work independently.

 Essential Functions

  1. Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  3. Ensure all electrical work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations.
  4. Work on projects independently and make decisions based on expertise and experience.
  5. Provide guidance and support to Level 1 Electricians and other junior staff.

 Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Up to 100% of the working environment could be hot, cold, and wet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.   While normal hours of work and days for LeClaire Manufacturing are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., hours for this position reflect production hours which run 24 hours a day, 6 – 7 days per week.

 Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; electrical trade school or apprenticeship completion strongly preferred.
  2. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Continuous learning and adaptability to keep up with evolving technologies.
  5. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or commercial setting.
  6. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control systems.
  7. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  9. Valid electrician's license or certification as required by state regulations.
