ON SITE DIRECTOR (After School Program)

Overview of the School Age Services lead/director role:
We need you to lead day to day operations of school age programming.

Here’s a little more about what you’ll do:

• Create a safe and healthy learning environment for children with appropriate arrangement of materials, space, and supplies.
• Supervise children at all times within sight and sound and adhere to daily schedule and transition times. Encourage children’s learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity and a healthy self-concept.
• Provide timely and effective communication to leadership, school partners, families, and enrichment providers.
• Complete paperwork, assessments, and other reports as needed.
• Additional site-specific duties as needed, such as lesson plans or monthly quality compliance activities

Minimum education, experience and other skill requirements for the School Age Services lead/director:

• High School Diploma required
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Some post-secondary education and experience with working with children preferred
• Completion of State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with implementation on a daily basis with support as needed from the Director/Assistant Director

While performing the duties of this job, the school age services instructional assistant is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of at least 25 pounds; walk up and down steps; and stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time.
