REGIONAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST II

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN LEAR WORLD HEADQUARTERS

 

As a member of the Corporate Accounting team, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading the global intercompany accounting process; preparing journal entries and performing balance sheet account reconciliations; leading government financial reporting process; and preparing analytical reports as needed.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Performing monthly intercompany invoicing using Lear’s intercompany invoicing system, facilitate payment of balances, reconcile balances with corresponding intercompany locations, and assist with dispute resolution during close.
  • Building a good working relationship with global finance and accounting teams related to intercompany related items.
  • Preparing balance sheet general ledger account reconciliations using various accounting systems.
  • Assisting Managers of Corporate Accounting with recording standard and non-standard journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Tracking, preparing, and filing various monthly and quarterly government financial reports.
  • Developing ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management.
  • Interfacing with Lear’s accounting and finance team in the Philippines on a consistent basis related to month-end close activities.

Your Qualifications:

  • Require 1-3 years of work experience in field of accounting or finance.
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Ability to interface across all organization levels within the world headquarters and all plants globally.
  • Ability to show resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of the processes from start to finish.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exposure to various accounting ERP systems like, SAP, HFM (Hyperion), PeopleSoft AP

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Previous automotive experience
  • CPA/MBA or working towards it
