PLANT SUPERINTENDENT 
COLUMBIA CITY, IN - PLANT

 

As a member of the Production team, the Plant Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating the activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team coaches/specialists.

 

This role is part of the Production Department and answers to the Production Manager. Plant Superintendents do rotate shifts at least twice per calendar year so availability to work any shift as well as overtime is required.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage subordinate Team Coaches/Specialists who supervise production employees.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Automotive experience helpful but not required
  • JIT experience is helpful but not required
  • LEAN manufacturing experience helpful but not required
