Seat Assembler Job Description

 

Pay Rate Progression: Start $19/hr.

                                       After 90 days - $19.25/hr.

                                       After 6 months - $19.75/hr.

 

Hours: M-F (6am - 2:30pm) Hours may vary slightly due to need. Some days you may get out earlier, others later. OT is available for this position. Super rare Saturdays.

 

Benefits: Full Benefits after 90 days. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K, etc.

This position does require repetitive motions & rotating stations.

 

The Louisville, KY facility specializes in the assembly of automotive seats and seat structures.  We assemble a complete seat for the Corvette.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • The Seat Assembler is part of the Production department and reports to the Line Supervisor
  • Work as a team member on a production line adding various components to the seat assembly
  • Assure Safety & Quality standards are always followed
  • Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to “5S” and “World Class Housekeeping” standards
  • Help to achieve team performance goals and objectives
  • Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands & arms
  • Repetitive gripping and dexterous use of hands
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic is a must
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

  • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • One year of related experience preferred but not required
