Position Description: Facilities & Woodworking Maintenance Technician

The Facilities & Woodworking Maintenance Technician at LayerZero Power Systems is responsible for maintaining and repairing woodworking equipment, general facility infrastructure, and supporting electrical and machining operations across multiple facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations while assisting with new facility additions and expansions.

Requirements

  

Primary Duties: 

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on woodworking machinery, tools, and related equipment.

· Maintain general facility infrastructure, including carpentry, fixtures, and structural repairs.

· Assist with electrical and machining maintenance tasks as needed.

· Support new facility additions, expansions, and improvement projects, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

· Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety protocols.

· Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide hands-on support.


Education: 

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.


Experience:

· Minimum 3+ years of experience in woodworking and facility maintenance.

· Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and safety practices.

· Ability to assist with electrical and machining maintenance tasks.

· Experience working across multiple facilities and supporting new additions is a plus.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
