About this role

We're looking for someone with 6+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, ideally with a background at companies like Palantir as well as early-stage startups. You should have deep SQL experience, be comfortable navigating unknown technical environments, and have a tactical build mindset. We're seeking someone who can productionize discoveries, with a proven track record of reducing time to value (TTV) for customers and extensive experience integrating into on-prem systems like SAP, Oracle, and Workday, as well as other enterprise systems including CRMs, HRIS, and data warehouses. What you'll do: Automate existing implementation processes to drive down TTV. Define the people, process, and technology for the FDE team and recruit new FDE hires. Formalize the FDE → Product feedback loop to ensure insights from deployments inform the product roadmap. Formalize the FDE → CS feedback loop to ensure ideal mapping of tech & operations. Pipe new data sources (e.g., CRM, HRIS, Data Warehouse) to make any enterprise system of record available to Laurel Signal. Lead System Integrator (SI) partnership conversations. Leverage AI to experiment with new ways to reduce TTV by a step function. Publish a Laurel FDE Playbook as an internal asset with repeatable patterns and case studies. Codify a metrics dashboard to track TTV, sales win-rate with FDE engagement, and professional service revenue influenced by FDE. Shape Laurel’s external narrative, positioning FDE as a differentiator.
