About this role
The Machinist is responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with technical drawings and documented specifications.
\n- Set up and operate 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to verify dimensional accuracy
- Perform in-process inspections and routine quality checks to ensure compliance with requirements
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
- Work independently while contributing effectively to production schedules and objectives
- Proven experience operating 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Proficiency in tool identification, setup, and presetting
- Working knowledge of CNC G-code with the ability to review and modify programs as needed
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Solid understanding of GD&T principles
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Experience in high-precision machining environments
- Ability to transition quickly into production with minimal supervision or training
