About this role

The Machinist is responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with technical drawings and documented specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to verify dimensional accuracy
  • Perform in-process inspections and routine quality checks to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
  • Work independently while contributing effectively to production schedules and objectives


Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Proficiency in tool identification, setup, and presetting
  • Working knowledge of CNC G-code with the ability to review and modify programs as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Solid understanding of GD&T principles
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Experience in high-precision machining environments
  • Ability to transition quickly into production with minimal supervision or training
