The DevOps Engineer’s responsibilities will include optimizing the development pipeline, automating, and monitoring development workloads. Candidates will also foster interdepartmental collaboration to create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
Deploying applications through automation using configuration management tools Github Actions/AzureDevOps
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development and application deployments to support efficiency and reliability
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve build issues
Implementation and workflow security with a focus vulnerability identification and remediation
Configure and manage monitoring, analytics, and insight systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve app service and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for release management
Performing routine maintenance of applications to ensure the production environment runs efficiently
Align development requirements with IT teams and infrastructure
Participating in project planning to share knowledge and assess risks and benefits of developing or modifying software and systems
Document build processes and create training materials to onboard team members on build best practices
Requirements and Skills
Proven work experience as a build engineer, DevOps engineer, or similar role
5+ years of experience on cloud technologies, Azure preferred
Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Client management skills to discuss systems as needed
Relevant training and/or certifications as a DevOps Engineer (AZ-400, GitHub Certifications)
Technical Skills
Git version control
CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions required)
Experience with Docker Containers and their deployment
Working knowledge of Terraform or OpenTofu
Experience using OpenTelemetry and Azure App Insights for tracing and performance profiling
Experience with observability tools, such as Prometheus and ELK
Familiarity with Grafana Dashboards or Azure Monitor Workbooks
Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks, SOC2 type2
