Lanteris Space is seeking a motivated and curious Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team based in our Palo Alto, CA office. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, build, and software tools that support our flight software products. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world systems, codebases, and development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and testing new software features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Debug issues and contribute to improving application stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA.
• Contribute to documentation of features, APIs, and internal tools.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident 
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++.
• Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.

The base pay for this position within California is: $28.00 - $31.00 hourly

The salary range listed is based on two years or more of completed studies.  This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.
