About this role
Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. Founded in 2004, the company’s motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere!
We might have a job for you as a Scottish Gaelic teacher.
Some details about the course:
- One of our clients would like to have one-to-one ONLINE General Scottish Gaelic classes.
- This client wishes to have classes online and she would like to do a free 30 minutes trial class first. Her availability to do the trial is:
- (1) Monday - 11:00 - 11:59 AM
- (2) Wednesday - 11:00 - 11:59 AM
- (3) Friday - 11:00 - 11:59 AM , all Arkansas, United States time. Please let me know which option is best for you, bearing in mind the time difference (you can check it here).
- The student's current level of Scottish Gaelic is Beginner.
- Motivation to learn Scottish Gaelic: It's my culture, and I want to teach it to my son when he's older! I'm American but a large amount of my ancestors spoke Gaelic & Welsh. And were from Scotland!.
- The student is between 18-24 years old.
- After the taster class, the student is willing to have lessons once or twice per week, any day between 10am and 4pm CST.
Please note that we would give full training on the use of the software, but you should:
- Be comfortable with teaching online
- Have a headset
- Have a webcam - THIS IS ESSENTIAL
- Have your own computer at home and a fast broadband connection
The ideal teacher should:
- Be a native Scottish Gaelic speaker OR hold a teaching degree
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter

What you'll do
- The teacher will conduct one-to-one online Scottish Gaelic classes for a beginner student. They will also provide a free trial class to assess the student's needs and preferences.
