You are the first dedicated designer at Langfuse. Today engineers design as they build — you will elevate the entire experience. Thousands of developers and data scientists use our UI for hours each day.
The challenge: our users care about information density, speed, and precision. Traces contain dozens of nested LLM calls with massive prompts and completions. Make it feel effortless.

What You'll Do
01
Own the design system end-to-end — Visual language, component consistency, and the standard for how Langfuse looks and feels across every surface.

Make data-dense interfaces intuitive — Traces, scores, costs, latencies, token counts, prompt versions, evaluation results. Help engineers find what they need fast.

Simplify complex workflows — Evaluations, experiment comparison, prompt versioning, monitoring setup. Map the friction, design flows that feel obvious in hindsight.
04
Ship design to code — Use AI coding tools to implement smaller fixes, build components, and polish UI details yourself. Not an engineer role, but you help yourself.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years designing complex web applications — portfolio showing product work users loved
- Ownership mentality for UI/UX built for developers
- You want to talk to users — constantly
- Strong taste for best-in-class developer UX
- Excited about open source software
Bonus: can ship frontend code (Next.js, Tailwind, shadcn/ui), ML/AI familiarity, former founder, OSS contributions
