Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, FL 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Salary range: $17.72 - $22.15 per hour, depending upon experience

 

What work will you perform?

As the BCO Advisor you will assist Truck Owner Operator drivers (Business Capacity Owners) with day-to-day business decisions beginning when they complete orientation.  You will educate them about the Landstar systems through frequent and consistent contact. Ensuring Owner Operators acclimate to Landstar systems within 120 days is your primary mission.  BCO success will be measured through you conducting both oral and written reviews at 45- and 90-day intervals.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and document first contact with new Owner Operators
  • Perform oral and written review with Owner Operator at 45- and 90-day intervals
  • Gather critical information pertaining to new Owner Operators to promote retention
  • Track and measure weekly gross/net revenue
  • Handle incoming calls
  • Provide guidance about the importance of planning and being productive
  • Monitor inactivity to ensure Owner Operators receive timely counsel on barriers for generating revenue
  • Meet with Owner Operators if needed to provide solutions for existing or potential problems
  • Schedule DOT drug and alcohol testing; follow up on results

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)  
  • One year customer support experience in an office environment

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1 year call center experience
  • 1 year coaching/training experience  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Data entry skills, 88 kpm
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficient math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to perform quality work with minimal supervision
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Self-motivation
