Project Overview/Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Market & Business Data Analyst Summer Intern to support our portfolio strategy and market intelligence activities. The intern will work closely with the strategy team to analyze market data, market trends, business performance data, and competitive insights. This role is ideal for candidates with a combined engineering and business background and a strong interest in the energy sector.

The intern will get hands on experience in market & business intelligence activities focused on the energy sector. Opportunity to work on impactful projects influencing strategic decision and mentorship from an experienced team.

This position will be on-site fulltime hours Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA location.  This is a paid internship but we don’t provide housing assistance or relocation so will be considering local applicants.

Student Objectives/Responsibilities:

•    Data Analysis & Visualization

o    Collect, clean, and analyze large market and business datasets.
o    Build clear and compelling data visualizations to highlight trends, insights, and opportunities.
o    Support quantitative modeling, forecasts, and scenario analysis.

•    Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

o    Compile information from industry reports, financial statements, market databases, and public sources.
o    Analyze technology, competitive positioning, and regulatory trends affecting the energy and smart infrastructure markets.
o    Summarize research findings into actionable insights.

•    Presentation & Reporting

o    Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, briefs, and reports for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Education:

Applicants should have completed their junior year heading into their senior year of obtaining their Bachelors degree in an Engineering major with a Business related focus; Masters level students are preferred.
