This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of IT Business Applications EMEA to lead and evolve our global business applications landscape across the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and service delivery of Landis+Gyr’s business applications portfolio, including cloud and SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and key business process tools. You will lead a team and work closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Operations, and Product Management to ensure business applications effectively support operational excellence, digital transformation, and future scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IT Business Applications team across EMEA, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute the applications strategy, ensuring alignment with global IT architecture and business priorities.
• Oversee the design, development, and support of business applications, ensuring system performance, usability, and availability in line with SLAs.
• Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with business leaders to analyze requirements, assess feasibility, and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
• Lead architecture and design discussions, driving simplification and optimization of the application landscape.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection, and governance standards, including ITIL and ITGC requirements.
• Manage the business applications budget, ensuring cost transparency and value delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern cloud, mobile, and collaboration technologies to support Landis+Gyr’s digital transformation.
• Act as a member of the EMEA Architecture Board and key advisor for application innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

• Degree in Business IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification).
• 7+ years of experience in managing and developing IT business applications in international organizations.
• Proven track record in leading teams, managing service operations, and delivering complex IT projects across multiple business areas.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies, SaaS platforms, ITIL, and project management (IPMA or equivalent).
• Sound knowledge of business process management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English (German or another European language is an advantage).
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps. #LI-SG1
