Job Description Summary

               

The IT Portfolio Sr. Manager will be a member of the IT leadership team accountable for the IT Project Management team, tools, and processes. This leader will provide strategic/tactical leadership and oversight for creating, sustaining, implementing, and driving efficient and effective project portfolio management processes in support of business objectives.

This role will partner closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure alignment between IT portfolios and enterprise priorities, governance standards, intake processes, and delivery expectations. He or she will be responsible for the IT project teams providing project governance, demand and capacity management, project delivery, and ServiceNow ITBM product ownership, while ensuring integration with enterprise-level portfolio oversight.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT, business leadership, and the Enterprise PMO to support project intake, vetting and prioritization processes within each portfolio.
  • Partner with the EPMO to align IT portfolio governance, lifecycle standards, and reporting with enterprise-wide project and initiative management practices.
  • Provide consistent and effective portfolio dashboards, portfolio reviews, scorecards, and reports that roll up into enterprise-level views as required by the EPMO
  • Serve as the point of escalation for project stakeholders or requestors with issues directly related to project management.
  • Ensure that portfolio benefits are defined and managed during the portfolio lifecycle, and that the realization is monitored.
  • Coordinate project interdependencies across IT portfolios and enterprise initiatives.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations to continually improve the work products within the PMO and the Portfolio.
  • Ensure that all PMO standard operating procedures, systems, and processes are documented and aligned with enterprise PMO standards where applicable.
  • Steadfastly pushes self and others for results.
  • Supports management decisions and reinforces them with all team members.
  • Drive resource management processes throughout IT to enable a capacity-driven demand model
  • Oversee and be accountable over the IT project budget and forecasts.
  • Drive process discipline and excellence in the ServiceNow PPM platform.
  • Promote IT framework, governance, and processes, including Agile ways of working.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Capabilities/skills/experience:

  • Strong experience leading project managers of large-scale complex projects
  • Detailed knowledge of the project management lifecycle, and is a key performer within the lifecycle
  • Ability to instruct new team members in the project management processes within Lamb Weston.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures and processes
  • Strong process management background
  • Ability to incorporate project management best practices from the company and the industry
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of leadership and employees
  • Demonstrated ability to partner on cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to deal with the ambiguity of innovation and guide projects to successful conclusion

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree, preferably in IT
  • 8+ years of related project management experience
  • 5+ years related IT experience
  • 5+ Supervisor/Manager experience
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading and delivering software projects
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with senior level staff
  • Experience with Agile project management lifecycles
  • Possesses and utilizes leadership skills and abilities to direct and supervise employees
  • PMP Certification (or similar) completed or in process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong PC skills, to include MS Suite, O365, and inter-communication platforms (WebEx, MS Teams, Zoom, etc..)
  • Working knowledge of Lamb Weston Processes is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow PPM is a plus
  • Valid US driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
  • Up to 20% travel

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.

               

Pay Rate or Range: $142,910.00 - $214,360.00
