Position Summary:
Assumes responsibility for monitoring adherence to PNHS and Laboratory policies and procedures. Participates in planning, implementing and directing of programs, procedures and staffing to ensure uninterrupted quality personalized care and service to our customers.
Scheduling. Training and onboarding HOD staff, IP staff and EC techs. Competencies of HOD staff and IP staff. Coordination of staff c360s, MyLearning and staff meetings. Support staffing concerns including calling staff, leaders and/or departments. Providing constructive, in-the-moment feedback to team. Special assignments and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year related experience
Must be willing to maintain competence through continuing education
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
For Phlebotomy: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) certification recommended.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Exhibits a high degree of organization with proven leadership skills in planning and directing work tasks and staff.
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication and problem solving skills.
Possesses the ability to use professional discretion with patient information
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Previous experience in the laboratory and in a leadership role is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Telephone, Fax, Photocopier, Personal Computer, Printer, and laboratory equipment as required by area.
