About this role

Regions Hospital is looking for a Clinical Nutrition Manager to help plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate clinical nutrition services for patients of Regions Hospital. This position will be in charge of the following job duties/responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent nutrition education opportunities for patients/clients, hospital and medical staff, and the community.

  • Ensures quality patient nutrition services through nutritional assessment, nutrition interventions and education.

  • Evaluates and improves clinical nutrition services through PIP programs.

  • Manages clinical nutrition resources including staff, food, supplements, nutrition support regimes, monitoring parameters to assure excellent cost-effective nutrition care for all patients.

  •  Hires, orients, and evaluates clinical nutrition staff according to hospital and department policies.

  • Maintains the department clinical nutrition policies and procedures to meet JC and CMS standards.

  • Delivers direct clinical nutrition care.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and completion of Commission on Dietetic Registration approved internship or supervised practice program
  • Four years of experience in clinical nutrition or related field
    • Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Dietetic Licensure within the state of Minnesota within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge and application of nutrition science, medical nutrition therapy and clinical practice guidelines for people throughout the life cycle and of human behavior and techniques for affecting behavior change
  • Knowledge of JC (Joint Commission), CMS standards and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for the profession of dietetics.

 

FTE: 1.0; 40 hours per week
