Lakeshore Beverage is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and direct its Warehouse team. We are looking for a reliable individual with strong work habits, including safe practices, good attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work well with others. The ideal candidate can quickly learn and apply new skills, has strong math abilities, excellent attention to detail, and solid computer proficiency. This role also oversees the accuracy of verifiers reporting to the position, particularly regarding daily variances for which warehouse staff and delivery drivers are accountable. This is a full-time, first-shift role, scheduled Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 AM.
The successful individual will be able to:
Select, train and supervise the warehouse team members, and hold them accountable for their performance;
Organize and assign work to effectively utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, machines an tools to obtain most favorable cost, accuracy and completeness outcomes;
Develop and implement procedures and performance rackers that facilitate reduction of breakage, out-of-date, overages and shortages.
Direct daily receiving, warehousing, repacking and replenishing activities;
Monitor and ensure product freshness through proper product labeling and rotation;
Manage inbound and outbound freight claims;
Proof and reconcile invoices and credits;
Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies by collaborating with others.
Process in-transit invoices and credits monthly and follow-up on outstanding cooperage/pallet return.
Oversees accurate daily delivery-driver check-ins, ensuring all variances are thoroughly reviewed and addressed.
Maintains thorough variance tracking and ensures timely resolution of all discrepancies.
Promote a safe work environment and require safe work procedures compliance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate, or equivalent experience
2 years of supervisory experience
2 years of prior warehouse and/or inventory experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
