About the Team:

Labcorp’s Global Tax, Treasury, and Risk Management (TTRM) team plays a critical role in safeguarding the financial integrity and strategic agility of a Fortune 200 company. As part of this high-impact team, the Analyst will contribute to key initiatives across tax compliance, treasury operations, and risk management. This role offers exposure to cross-functional projects, regulatory engagements, and technology-driven process improvements.

Role Summary:

The TTRM Analyst will work alongside experienced professionals to support initiatives that enhance Labcorp’s tax compliance, treasury efficiency, and risk management capabilities. This includes assisting audit responses, optimizing reporting processes, and leveraging technology to drive automation and insights. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance & Audit Strategy

    • Independently prepare audit-ready documentation for state and local tax audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with federal and state tax teams to proactively manage filing timelines and resolve discrepancies.

    • Conduct data-driven analyses to uncover tax risk exposures and recommend strategic process improvements.

  • Treasury & Risk Advisory

    • Contribute to strategic treasury initiatives including liquidity forecasting, capital allocation modeling, and bank relationship management.

    • Assist in enterprise-wide risk assessments, identifying control gaps and proposing mitigation strategies in partnership with internal audit and compliance teams.

    • Support scenario planning and stress testing to evaluate financial resilience under varying macroeconomic conditions.

  • Technology-Driven Process Innovation

    • Lead efforts to identify and implement automation opportunities using Alteryx, Power BI, LLMs, and other digital tools, enhancing reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, IT) to design and deploy scalable solutions that support compliance, analytics, and decision-making.

    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for workflow optimization and data visualization projects.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

    • Build strong working relationships across departments to facilitate knowledge sharing and alignment on strategic initiatives.

    • Communicate complex and technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.

    • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in driving projects forward, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or related field

  • Internship or entry-level relevant experience in tax, treasury, or financial operations strongly preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Oracle, or similar tools preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and attention to detail

Shift: Monday - Friday, Standard Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Worksite Location: Hybrid (This hybrid position offers a balanced schedule of three in-office workdays at our Burlington or Durham, NC locations and two remote workdays per week, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN, & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
