Job Description:

Technical Publications is a unified team of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment. Team members are responsible for gathering, composing, and editing technical information to prepare flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation for our warfighters.

Essential Functions: 

• Authoring and/or Generating content for illustrated parts catalogs, maintenance manuals, flight operation, mission systems, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) documents, in an Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment or other authoring software for commercial and or Air Force, Army, or Navy programs.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Position requires Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater at time of hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.  
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments to include Unstructured and/or Structured FrameMaker.
• Demonstrated ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and customers at varying levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of MS Office Suite and applications.
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles, reading schematics and/or wiring diagrams.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of ATA iSpec 2200, MIL-PRF-38807C,
  and MIL-STD-37874.
• Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of VIPSAM Mission Systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of 747/757 Boeing airframes and avionics.
• Demonstrated ability to work within and potentially lead defined budgets and meet schedule deadlines.
