With state-of-the-art 12K/3D/360° streaming technology and a global portfolio of premium rights, we bring live events to life in virtual reality—on all leading VR platforms.
To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a VR Audio Assistant (f/m/x) to take our VR productions to the next level in terms of sound.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile audio professional to join our team. This role is a unique hybrid, acting as a bridge between a fast-paced startup environment and the technical challenges of live sound.
You will be responsible for managing complex audio ecosystems integrated with high-end VR multi-camera setups and will work on immersive audio productions at international live entertainment and sporting events.
Tasks
- System design & coordination: Oversee signal flow, synchronization, and network architecture using Dante (Audio over IP) and MADI within complex VR multi-camera environments
- Spatial audio production: Implement workflows for Ambisonics, binauralization, and HRTF to create immersive 360° soundscapes
- On-site engineering: Execute professional recording sessions and apply microphone placement techniques in diverse live environments
- Project execution: Work independently and maintain a high level of self-organization in a dynamic production schedule
Requirements
- Professional background as an Audio Engineer with a relevant degree or comparable qualification
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow and advanced proficiency in Dante networking
- Proven experience with spatial audio technologies, including Ambisonics, binaural rendering, and HRTF
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-organization in fast-paced production environments
- Willingness to travel internationally for live productions and projects
- Very good written and spoken English
- German language skills are a plus, especially conversational German
- Familiarity with game-related audio production tools (e.g. Wwise, Unity, Reaper) is a plus
