The Role

As an Agentic AI Architect at Kyndryl, you’ll work on cutting-edge frameworks that are a generation ahead of today’s frontier technologies. This is a strategically important role for Kyndryl, offering the opportunity to lead architecture design for enterprise-scale AI platforms that integrate Agentic AI capabilities.

You’ll combine deep technical expertise with architectural vision - designing distributed systems, setting quality standards, and guiding teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Expect a true builder’s environment, where MVP rollouts happen in weeks, and your ideas shape the future of enterprise AI.

What You’ll Do
· Design and deliver distributed architectures for large-scale, cloud-based enterprise systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Integrate Agentic AI capabilities into enterprise software.
· Act as a technical authority, setting standards for security, scalability, and performance, ensuring poor code or weak architecture is prevented from entering production.
· Translate vague customer requirements into actionable technical designs.
· Lead discussions, challenge ideas, and align teams on a clear technical direction.
· Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of MVPs and production-ready solutions.

Essential Qualifications

· Native Japanese proficiency or equivalent
· Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Rust, C++, or C#.
· Expertise in distributed systems architecture and cloud-native design.
· Familiarity with graph theory, data drift, and AI integration, embedding AI into software.
· Interest or experience in delivering enterprise-grade software platforms.
· Ability to communicate architectural vision clearly and confidently with customers.

Preferred Skills
· Experience in digital transformation initiatives or AI-native product development.
· Background in enterprise and startup environments, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid delivery cycles.
· Knowledge of security architecture and responsible AI principles.
