ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

This role reports to Institute for Sustainable Food Systems Director - Kent Mullinix. 

SUMMARY

The Field Staff – Sik-E-Dakh Farm School will assist in seasonal field work including harvesting, weeding, crop maintenance, and various other field tasks. This position requires someone who is a member of the Sik-E-Dakh band, passionate about regenerative agriculture, building local food systems, and food systems education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing all farm tasks including transplanting, harvesting, post processing, weeding and seeding
  • Provide mentorship to community members who participate in the Sik-E-Dakh Farm School in basic farm tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years farm experience
  • A keen interest in small-scale, regenerative agriculture
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift 45lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to work outside in all weather
  • Valid First Aid Certificate an asset

*Salary Information

Anticipated hourly pay rate: $23.69
