Job Summary
Under administrative direction and guidance and under the guidelines of a collaborative practice agreement, the APRN provides comprehensive and professional health care to clients in the hospital and residential setting. Practice is distinguished by autonomy of practice and is characterized by an increased complexity of clinical decision-making ability and greater skill in providing quality medical services. Activities are carried out in accordance with the Scope and Standards of Advanced Practice Registered Nursing, Kansas Board of Nursing Practice Act, and other relevant federal, state, and local guidelines. The ARNP in this position demonstrates a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the complex responses of individuals, families, or communities to actual or potential medical problems, prevention of injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of MO, Board certified and Board eligible
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Experience: Primary care background with the ability to give routine preventative care, evaluate and treat acute medical issues in all ranges seen in KVC hospitals. Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
