Position Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst t is responsible for developing and managing the organization's analytical data architecture and building high-quality BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing, sales, R&D, and other business areas. This role combines technical data expertise with business acumen to transform complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

Data Architecture & Modeling

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models to support BI reporting and analytics
  • Structure data to support cross-functional analysis across manufacturing, sales, R&D, and finance
  • Utilize robotic process automation for data integration
  • Promote and uphold standards for data quality, lineage, and stewardship

BI Development & Optimization

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models
  • Translate business requirements into report specifications, data models, and visual designs
  • Optimize BI solutions for performance, usability, and scalability
  • Manage the backlog of Power BI requests from business units, ensuring timely and transparent delivery to stakeholders

Analytics & Insights

  • Provide analytical insights that support operational optimization and strategic decision-making
  • Utilize statistical or data science principles for advanced analysis and integrate results into BI dashboards when needed
  • Connect Power BI to SharePoint, Excel, SQL, APIs, and cloud sources

Data Integration & Collaboration

  • Perform data integration tasks between systems in collaboration with application developers and third-party software
  • Participate actively in cross-functional projects, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge Sharing & Training

  • Create and maintain documentation, guides, and best practices for reports and models
  • Serve as a coach for colleagues who are building Power BI and analytics skills
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on Power BI and data literacy for business users

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related role
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing BI solutions in a business environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (report development, data modeling, DAX)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
  • Experience with data integration from multiple sources (SharePoint, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms)
  • Proficient in data modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas with solid understanding of relational database structures
  • Proven ability to convert business needs into effective technical reporting solutions
  • Experience collaborating across IT and business functions in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Working knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI performance optimization
  • Competent in SQL query development.
  • Valid driver's license required.
