General Responsibilities:
- Responsible to ensure every shipment is accurately labelled, ships to the correct location and arrives on time.
- Supervise bargaining unit shipping and repack personnel and ensure safety policies are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized environment using the 5S Program
- Review and manage customer releases
- Ensure all customer systems are reviewed and updated daily
- Ensure tickets are answered within the allotted timeframes as specified from all customers including weekends when necessary
- Coordinate trucking companies to arrange for pickups and track shipments
- Distribute load sheets to proper personnel
- Create and run barcodes and accurate destination tags for all containers being shipped out
- Prepare shippers, custom papers and sales invoices for shipments
- Send accurate and timely ASNs
- Process and close sales batches daily
- Receive supplies coming into the plant
- Responsible for all dunnage management
- Responsible for maintaining shipping supplies
- Data processing as required for the Materials department
- Foster a positive team environment, assist coworkers as required
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned by management.
