About this role

Technology – Digital Workplace Technology & Support - Intern

Kroll is a global leader in Risk and Financial Advisory services, operating at the intersection of data, technology, and complex decision-making. We are seeking a high-performing Data Engineering Intern to help build and scale the data infrastructure that powers analytics, automation, and AI across the firm. This role is for candidates who want real engineering responsibility, not shadow work. You will design and implement production-grade data pipelines, work with cloud-native tooling, and partner with senior engineers and data scientists on systems that matter.

At Kroll, your work will help deliver clarity to our clients’ most complex governance, risk, and transparency challenges. Apply now to join One team, One Kroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Digital Workplace Technology & Support Intern will rotate across Endpoint Engineering, Project/Program Management, and Site Support functions. This role is designed for a highly curious, adaptable intern who wants broad exposure to how modern enterprise IT operates—from strategy and engineering to hands-on support and execution.

This intern will act as a cross-functional utility player, supporting real initiatives while gaining experience in enterprise tooling, project delivery, and end-user technology support.

  • Assist with device lifecycle activities (provisioning, refreshes, decommissions)
  • Support endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF, SCCM – exposure level)
  • Help validate software deployments and document technical processes
  • Participate in testing new tools, configurations, or workflows

Project & Program Management

  • Support active DWT&S projects by tracking tasks, milestones, and risks
  • Help maintain project documentation, timelines, and status updates
  • Sit in on project meetings and capture notes/action items
  • Assist with rollout planning, communications, and post-project retrospectives

Site & Executive Support

  • Provide on-site and remote support for end users (with guidance)
  • Assist with conference room and AV setup/troubleshooting
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Help document support workflows and identify improvement opportunities

Learning Opportunities

  • Exposure to enterprise IT operations and governance
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint and workplace technologies
  • Insight into how IT projects are planned, delivered, and supported
  • Direct interaction with engineers, project managers, and support leaders
  • Mentorship from experienced IT professionals

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a closely related technical field

  • Graduation date between December 2026 and September 2027

  • Strong command of SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)

  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals

  • Experience building data pipelines or backend systems through coursework, research, or personal projects

  • Comfort working in cloud environments

  • Clear technical communication and the ability to reason about trade-offs

  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn across technical and operational domains

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Comfortable working in a professional, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to be on-site in New York, Atlanta, Nashville or Chicago as required

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Prior internship, lab, or coursework experience in IT or technology
  • Familiarity with basic IT concepts (devices, operating systems, networking)
  • Interest in project management or IT service management (ITIL exposure a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptable and proactive
  • Comfortable switching contexts between technical and people-facing work
  • Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute
  • Interested in a future career in enterprise IT, engineering, or technology leadership
