About this role

We are looking for an analyst II for our Global Financial Data Operations team based out of Mumbai and Hyderabad. It’s a data operations team which performs data sourcing, data extraction, data processing, data analysis on financial models and financial valuation reports. The team undertakes research and collects financial and business data based on the request from the internal Kroll business units. The relevant financial and business data is collected through various publicly available sources and Kroll proprietary files. Pursuant to the collection, the data is summarized in the format prescribed by the Kroll business units. The team also undertakes subsequent analysis with respect to the completeness of the data and verification of accuracy of the information. This enables the business units to have easy access of information / data as available at various sources.

The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate and contribute to team huddles.

  • Ensure project and task utilization rates are maintained not less than 75%.

  • Collecting and analyzing financial data and taking ownership in data quality controls to ensure consistent and high-quality data are delivered as per the requirements.

  • Ensure any feedback (including breach/errors) found in the process is informed to the team Manager instantly.

  • Ensure timely response and high stakeholder engagement.

  • Build effective collaborative relationships with colleagues and managers. Coordinate regularly with multiple project teams.

  • Delivering high quality output through constructive review and feedback.

  • Participate in regular Teams calls, meetings and email communications to understand and interpret research requirements.

  • Engage in team-building activities and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Communicate project status and deliver products and services ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Achieve maximum efficiency and reduce turnaround time gradually.

  • Broad analysis of income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, ratios, segment performance, etc.

  • Adhere to set quality and turnaround time targets and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Assisting in preparing and presenting the results of your analysis in a clear and concise manner.

  • Work cross-functionally to collect data and manage projects.

  • Working with management to build and maintain client relationships. 

  • Adequately assist team leader on client calls.

  • Maintain project tracker and act as a query solver for the team.

Essential traits:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably BAF, BFM, B. Com, BMS, BBI, BBA etc.) or 

    Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or 

    MBA or MMS from an accredited college or university

    No CFA, FRM, ACCA aspirants

  • Between 2 - 5 years of related experience (research analyst).

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office is essential. Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills is desirable.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact cross-functionally and/or with seniors and stakeholders with an ability to convey messages in a clear and structured manner.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of financial statements and accounting concept and preferred to have background/exposure with financial reporting as well as financial modelling.

  • Strong proficiency with on-line databases (Capital IQ) will be preferred and Internet research of company specific, industry and economic analysis.

  • Experience in project management is preferable. Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic.

  • Commitment to long-term development with flexibility to handle multiple tasks and tight timelines.

  • Responsible attitude and high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding in Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Pitchbook, Mergermarket, and CapIQ platforms.
  • Preferable knowledge in fund accounting, NAV Calculation, DCF Methodology and Cash Flows.
