As an Analyst in our Federal Tax Advisory practice, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing practical support to achieve the best income tax practices.  This role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise, enhance problem-solving skills, and develop a solid foundation for a career in public accounting. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work closely with senior associates and managers to support client engagements.

  • Asist in client onboarding: review client data and provide PBC inventory list.

  • Prepare federal, state tax workpapers for corporations and partnerships.

  • Prepare federal, state and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships.

  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Research tax laws, rules & regulations, analyze their application and defend decisions and/or outline solutions to those issues.

  • Participate in a wide range of projects; demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative. 

  • Asist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements.

  • Provide feedback on team members to their manager.

  • Identify knowledge gaps in the team and address the same.

  • Receive formal corporate tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-4 years of corporate and partnership income tax compliance experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field

  • Exposure and hands-on experience on the whole cycle of income tax compliance (PBC Request / Data Review / Workpapers / Return Preparation / Review / Delivery)

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients

  • Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word

  • Ability to collaborate with leads and other team members

  • Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field

  • Ability to solve problems and make educated decisions

  • Strong organizational skills & attention to details

  • Team-player, customer-centric attitude
