About this role
The SAP Project System (PS) Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP PS solutions to enable effective project planning, execution, monitoring, and financial control. The consultant collaborates with business stakeholders, cross-functional SAP teams, and technical developers to deliver end-to-end project management capabilities aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Design & Implementation- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP PS components including Project Definitions, WBS structures, networks, and activities.
- Implement cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, and project settlement processes.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Conduct requirement workshops, gap analysis, and process mapping.
- Recommend industry best practices for project management and project accounting.
- Support business teams in solution adoption and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HCM teams for cross-functional design.
- Manage end-to-end data and process integration impacting project execution.
- Prepare test scenarios and test cases and support SIT/UAT cycles.
- Validate end-to-end cost flows, billing, and settlement processes.
- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP PS issues.
- Troubleshoot configuration defects and integration issues.
- Deliver user training, documentation, and hypercare support.
- Work with project managers to enhance visibility through SAP PS reporting tools.
- Develop dashboards and queries to support project control.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP PS configuration.
- Deep understanding of WBS, networks, activities, cost planning, budgeting, and settlement.
- Knowledge of CAPEX, OPEX, and customer project processes.
- Functional knowledge of integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HCM.
- Ability to write functional specifications (RICEF objects).
- 4–10+ years of SAP PS consulting experience.
- At least 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred (Fiori apps, Universal Journal).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and facilitate workshops.
- Collaborative, proactive, and structured working style.
- SAP Certified Application Associate – Project System
- PMP/Prince2 (optional but advantageous)
