About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Providing a professional, an efficient and prompt imaging services to patients and customers.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
To perform with competence, the General Radiography (X-Ray) as per requested such as Chest X-Ray, Abdominal X-Ray, KUB, Skull X-Ray, Extremities, Pelvis X-Ray, etc.
The General Radiography shall include Mobile Radiography of various body part
To take good quality radiographs and to keep low radiation dose to patients
To perform specialized of various Fluoroscopy study such as Barium Enema, Barium Swallow, Hysterosalpingography (HSG), Micturating Urography (MCU), ERCP (Endoscope Retrograde CholedocoPancreatography), etc. The Fluoroscopy studies shall include using of various C-Arm procedures in Operating Room (OR) such as URS procedure, DHS, Spines Instrumentation, Spinal RF, all various of plating, etc.
To perform all study of CT scan (CT Brain, CT Abdomen-Pelvis, CT Thorax, CT Neck, CT Extremities,
To perform with competence of all specialized CT Angiogram (CTA Cardiac/Coronary, CT Pulmonary, CTA Brain, CTA Extremities, etc.)
To perform and competence all MRI examination (MRI Brain, MRI Spines, MRI Neck, MRI Joints, MRI Extremities, MRI Pelvis, etc.
To perform all specialized MRI Angio (MRA) and MRA Venous (MRV) such as MRA Brain, MRA Abdominal, MRA long Bones, MRV Brain, etc.
To perform specialized MRCP (MRI biliary track).
Female Radiographer to perform specialized Mammography study and Stereotactic Biopsy.
To perform ESWL procedures and assist Urologist.
To implement the policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Services. Ensure compliance with the Radiology safety policy
To ensure tidiness, cleanness and hygienic measures to prevent cross infection in the services are maintained at all times.
Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
Take responsibility for radiation safety in work area, including checking equipment for malfunctions and report errors to the Chief Radiographer

To provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological need
To provide highest quality of patients care at all times to internal and external customers.
Ensure bill payment is charged to patients according to their procedures and additional hospital charges are charged if procedures are performed after normal operating hours.
Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)
To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.
To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
To comply with the requirements as stipulated in ACT 304, Atomic Energy Licensing Act and regulations.
Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards.
Other assignments as when required by the hospital management.
Additional task - Follows as ordered by DIS manager or Head of Radiology Department.

Minimum Diploma in Medical Imaging
Preferred Degree in Medical Imaging
