About this role
- Select and conduct appropriate assessment that address all aspects of client’s occupation and establish treatment goals.
- Select and adapt the appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions for the client
- Apply interventions to maximize client’s performance in occupations
- Assess client’s home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
- Recommend adaptive equipment to help client with ADL and train in its use
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Regularly follow-up client.
- Conduct reassessment to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention and discharge plan.
- To ensure ≥ 75% Percentage of stroke patients with improvement of activities of daily living (ADL) independence after 3 months of Occupational Therapy interventions
- To ensure ≥ 85 Percentage of patients with hand and upper limb injury who have attained a full score in prehension patterns within 3months of Occupational Therapy interventions
- To ensure high quality rehabilitation services are provided
- To provide follow up care for patient following their discharge
- To do routine check on equipment for any faulty and arrange for regular maintenance
- To ensure general hygiene and cleanliness of the department is always maintained

- The Occupational Therapist is responsible for selecting and conducting assessments to establish treatment goals and applying interventions to maximize client performance in their daily activities. They will also assess client environments, recommend adaptive equipment, and provide follow-up care post-discharge.
