GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The role of an Executive of Investment Unit provides support on the analytical and coordination of the Investment function. The role supports the evaluation of investment proposals, preparation of Investment Committee materials, coordination of strategic initiatives / corporate exercises and monitoring of projects to facilitate informed investment decisions.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
a. Investment Evaluation
Assist in evaluating investment proposals and feasibility studies related to hospital expansions, land acquisitions, divestments, strategic initiatives and corporate exercises.
Assist in financial analysis including returns assessment, sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking.
b. Investment Committee (“IC”) Secretariat
Support evaluation of investment proposals submission for recommendation by the Investment Committee and approval by the Board of KPJHB
Assist in preparation, compilation, and quality-checking of IC papers and supporting financial analysis.
Support coordination of Pre-IC review sessions with Project Management Department (PMD), including collation of feedback and revisions.
Assist in liaison with the Company Secretary on administrative matters such as agenda preparation, paper submission, presenter sequencing, and meeting documentation.
Track IC decisions and follow-up actions to ensure proper documentation and monitoring.
c. Project & Portfolio Monitoring
Support monitoring of approved investments against approved scope, budget, and timelines.
Assist in preparing periodic project progress and portfolio monitoring reports.
d. Coordination & Administration
Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain data and clarifications.
Support corporate exercise processes, including coordination with advisors and data preparation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
a. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related fields.
b. Experience
Fresh graduate or candidate with up to 3 years of relevant experience in finance, audit, consulting, or corporate roles.
Internship experience in finance, investment, or advisory roles will be an advantage
c. Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and numerical aptitude
Good attention to detail and documentation discipline
Strong learning agility and adaptability, with willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
