Competitive Compensation: Starting at $23 per hour with shift differential pay increase at $0.90 per hour. 
 

Shift: 2nd, Shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm.

We are seeking a Molding Operator to join our Casa Grande team.  As a Molding Operator for Kohler Co., you will be an ambassador of the Kohler brand and the Vikrell product line.  In this role, you will be responsible for the quality inspection, lifting, packaging, and stacking of Vikrell products, such as bathtubs, shower wall sets, and shower floor pieces.  As a Molding Operator, you are expected to safely, responsibly, and efficiently perform the essential job functions of the role.  You will also perform assigned housekeeping & 5S work throughout every shift and encourage your team members do the same.  You will work 8-hour shifts for 5 days and work will include sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.   You will be an ideal candidate if you have a natural work ethic, sense of urgency and enjoy being part of a high-functioning team.

 
 
Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure the automated cut-and-stack robot is properly and accurately removing Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) from the storage container box and stacking on the appropriate section of equipment.
  •  Ensure that robot removes molded SMC parts from the press within set time parameters.]
  •  As needed, assist in cleaning the mold cavity.
  • Conduct “deflashing”, as needed, of molded parts and position those parts for transportation to next operation.
  •  Carry defective parts (scrap) to the rework area and document, as required.
  •  Assemble cartons and their components (Styrofoam, plastic caps, banders, etc.).
  •  Assist in packaging parts and in assembling packaging accessory items, as directed by Team Leader, Supervisor, or Management.
  •  Comply with all plant safety policies, assigned housekeeping activities, and 5S duties throughout the plant.
  •  Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job, as directed by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Management.
  •  Complete and maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures,

Key Qualifications   

  • Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Previous experience with a strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability.
  •   A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset.
  •   A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope.
  •  Have previous experience in a Manufacturing Operator or production line operator role. 
  •  Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Have a natural ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Additional Requirements 

   

  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including bending, lifting, and pushing weights of up to 35 pounds occasionally. Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
