Position Summary / Objective:

This Program Administrator will work with a dynamic team, providing Scientific, Engineering, Technical, and Analytical (SETA) support for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking an outgoing, proactive, and highly motivated individual to serve as a Management Analyst for the Program Manager who conducts overall planning and direction of support efforts of NAVSEA 04X. The ideal candidate will provide high-level management/administrative support and contribute to the efficient planning and execution of the Training and Project Support (TaPS) contract tasks areas.

 

Essential functions:

  • Assist Training and Project Support (TaPS) Program Managers with compiling and editing monthly reports, metrics, contract compliance reports, and contract deliverables.
  • Develop tracking tools to coordinate the completion of company and contractual training and certification requirements.
  • Provide programmatic support including business development capture planning, meeting minutes and action tracking, brief and document development, and corporate and contractual data calls. 
  • Develop process recommendations for productivity, efficiency, and improvements.
  • Provide secretarial and reception support (greet visitors/maintain visitor log and receive/distribute mail and packages).
  • Manage company portal website content, files, and links via SharePoint sites. 
  • Coordinate conferences and support office meetings, visits, and events.
  • Support creation and maintenance of Navy base access and computer system accounts. 
  • Lead procurement and account reconciliation for office and contract-related purchases.

 

Required education and experience:

  • Associate’s degree with 3 years related experience or High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience and proficiency in writing and editing reports and other contract deliverables.

 

Preferred education and experience: 

  • Knowledge of US Navy shipyard operations, policies, and practices
  • Experience supporting leaders in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Knowledge/experience in the use of MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, and/or Power BI.
  • Ability to comprehend and extract details from monthly, quarterly and annual company reports.

  • Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and efficient.
  • Ability to learn new skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
  • Excellent people and customer service skills are essential.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

  • Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Excellent listening skills are essential. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical workday is eight hours in length; however, you may be required to work longer days to meet mission objectives when necessary (not to exceed average 80-hour in a pay period).  Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Attendance at prescheduled mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by your contract/location and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.

 

Telework:

  • This is a Telework Allowed up to 20% position.  

 

Travel:

  • Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
