Position: Production Merchandiser (12-month)

Department: GM Leisure

Location: Shanghai

 

Accountability:

- Leverage global insights and design capability of supplier base to complement and enhance the buyer & designer’s product vision

- Responsible for ensuring high quality suppliers are available to support our strategic aspirations. This requires ongoing work in understanding developments in the manufacturing base within the region to keep suppliers sharp and honest - Responsible for price negotiations, and therefore directly accountable for FOB price and margin outcomes of the buying portfolio assigned

- Help improve delivery accuracy and production timelines of our supplier base

- Responsible for ensuring strong collaboration with suppliers and buying teams alike, utilize tools such as Time-and-Action (TNA) model to ensure accurate order tracking.

- Seek to resolve all escalated issues, or seek timely guidance from Supervisor

 

Requirements:

- 3-4 years solid merchandising experience in relevant product categories - General Merchandise, preferably in trading company background

- Strong sourcing, negotiation and interpersonal skill to liaison between buyers and factories

- Proven experience to be able to work with overseas buyers independently

- Demonstrate the ability to learn and work under pressure

- Work efficient, detailed mind and effective

- Excellent communication and influence skills both in English and Mandarin
