Kleinfelder’s Design team is looking for you! From bridge and structural engineering to civil, electrical, mechanical,

and process engineering, Kleinfelder’s collaborative Design Services create synergy across multiple disciplines. 

Step into Your New Role  

Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Mining/Civil Site Design Project Manager to join our southeast

engineering team. With expanding opportunities in the region and a variety of clients, the ideal candidate will

join our high achieving, fast-paced team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a

team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience

in mine planning, resource management, reclamation, and stormwater management is especially relevant.

This is a hybrid office role and can be in:

• Charlotte, NC
• Raleigh, NC
• Greensboro, NC

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project execution including proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management,
• scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and delivery quality
• Overseeing pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client
• concerns and suggest solutions to solve project challenges
• Leading technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams and driving customer value
• Nurturing and growing client relationships
• Supporting the achievement of professional staffs’ career goals

Education/Certification:

• Required, Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• Preferred, Professional Engineer (PE)

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary design, permitting and construction
• Ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships
• Capability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts
• Understanding of financial management concepts
• 6+ years of related experience in mining or industrial projects, including 2+ years of project management experience
• Consulting experience is preferred
