We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with an enthusiastic mindset who enjoys working across the full stack from Kubernetes to cloud, and who naturally contributes to a warm and collaborative culture.

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in Kivra’s Infrastructure team, working alongside experienced and supportive colleagues. Together, you’ll build, operate, and continuously improve a platform where security, stability, and reliability always come first.

Your work will include:

• Hybrid infrastructure engineering, balancing performance and control from our own hardware with the flexibility of Google Cloud Platform

• Architecting and operating multiple Kubernetes clusters running directly on HP and Supermicro hardware

• Driving automation and lifecycle management using Terraform and Ansible

• Managing complex networking across on-prem and cloud environments using Cilium, BGP, Envoy, HAProxy, and Google Load Balancers

• Building tooling and deployment pipelines that enable developers (Python, Go, Erlang, some Java) to ship safely and efficiently

• Operating and improving monitoring, logging, and alerting using Grafana, Mimir, Sentry, and PagerDuty

• Ensuring data reliability across distributed systems such as Riak, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Strimzi Kafka

• Working with a strong security focus across Linux systems, IAM (Authentik, Google Cloud IAM), and platform design

• Distributed systems and microservices running on Kubernetes

• Hybrid environments: colocation (on-prem) and Google Cloud Platform

• Automation and provisioning with Ansible and Terraform

• Networking: Cilium (eBPF), BGP, Envoy, HAProxy, Google Load Balancers, Cisco, and Ubiquiti

• Monitoring and logging: Grafana, Mimir, Sentry, PagerDuty

• Messaging and data: Strimzi Kafka, Riak, PostgreSQL, Redis

• Self-hosted hardware: HP and Supermicro

• Linux-based operating systems throughout

Who you are

Who you are, and how you contribute to the team, matters a lot to us. We thrive on being nice, helpful, and collaborative, both within the team and across the company.

You are someone who:

• Has strong skills in Linux and enterprise-level infrastructure management

• Has worked with DevOps and/or SRE for several years in hybrid on-prem and cloud environments

• Treats physical servers with the same automation-first mindset as cloud resources

• Enjoys understanding distributed systems deeply and digging into the why behind failures

• Cares deeply about security, stability, and service quality

• Takes initiative, values teamwork, and enjoys fact-based technical discussions

Experience with networking, firewall management, databases, web applications, and container orchestration is a strong plus. The role also offers opportunities to specialize further within one or several areas of the platform.
