Position Summary: The Dishwasher/Porter is an important member of the restaurant/café staff and the overall dining experience of the guest. The primary responsibilities of the Dishwasher/Porter will be focused on supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure they are able to provide the best dining experience for our guests. The Dishwasher/Porter will remain in constant contact with the Management team regarding any assigned or pending tasks. They will work collaboratively to maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for all guests as well as all staff members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house and front-of-house areas.
- Clean and sort all dishes and flatware.
- Clean, sweep, and mop both back-of-house and front-of-house floors.
- Collect and dispose of all trash in a clean and timely manner.
- Wash and disinfect appliances, display cases, work surfaces, floors, and walls.
- Monitor restrooms for cleanliness and cleaning supply replenishment.
- Complete all other miscellaneous tasks as required by the business or assigned by management.
Special Projects/Tasks:
- On rare occasions travel to support other F&B locations as required by the business need.
REQUIREMENTS
Availability:
- Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
- Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a Porter, Dishwasher
- 6 months+ in a custodial, cleaning is preferred but not required
- 6 months+ in the Food & Beverage industry is preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to lift and move up to 13.6 kilos .
- Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
